History and Hope 2020/2021
This painting took me 3 months to make, then about a year later I added the resin on top. This is the longest painting I have ever worked on. It started during the first U.S Lock down in March 2020 from Covid, between Covid & the BLM riots and protestsI was inspired. BLM was the largest global civil rights movement to date. As an artist I felt it was my responsibility as a servant to God, and servant to humanity I felt it was my duty to paint my interpretation through art of what was happening during a historical moment in all of our lives, We were living in the future history pages our grandchildren will read about.
I do not want to tell you my interpretation because I think art should be about how it makes you feel, and what do you think about the piece? I challenge you to take a long look at this piece , take a picture of it, make sure you tag me @vias.world , tell me what you think and how this piece made you feel?
Art is meant to inspire, create conversations and unite. I am simply a servant and was giving the gift of art. I hope you enjoy this piece. I put my heart and soul into it. I spent 5 hours at a time 5 days a week, for 3 months. I hope you enjoy the depth and the journey of this piece.
